Job interview follow-up

Job interview follow-up aims to know the eventual outcome of your interview. It does not show that you just want to know the results but your purpose is to seek information about next step of the interview; either someone has been selected or still process is going on. Most of the companies don’t bother to intimate those who are rejected in interview nor can they be informed by those who were selected because of unfamiliarity with each other and as a matter of fact no candidate is bound to inform others about his or her selection. Therefore, it is necessary to follow your interview result to keep yourself updated.

Job interview follow up email

Follow up email after job interview is not the thank you note you send just after the interview but it is in addition to that which should be written after a couple of days of your interview. Its tone should not be investigative with tags of “what happens” or “let me know”. It should be reflection of your curiosity about the further process of your interview by showing your firm belief that you may be among a few top candidates and hence why you are keen to know the interview result. Avoid flattery or pampering language in email of this type but the contents of your email must also not be rude enough to show as if you are arrogant or have a long list of job offers in your hand. It should be a polite query regarding the status of your interview process.
